Sea Urchins
Inspired by the mysteries of aquatic life forms, I became intrigued by the forms of sea urchins. Instead of hitting the pottery wheel, I wanted to be able to create a pot with my bare hands. Using the pinch-pot technique, I was able to manipulate the outcome and create an organic form. I also chose to do this because sea urchins, just like most things in nature, are not perfect. The purpose was to enhance the beauty of realistic life forms.
